The casting for Marvel/Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming has clearly gone into high gear. They recently snagged Michael Keaton for the main villain and just the other day brought in Donald Glover to play an undisclosed role.
Now they have cast a Logan.
Logan Marshall-Green has, per The Hollywood Reporter, joined the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming as a second villain.
Here’s Marshall-Green if you haven’t seen him before:
I have no idea who he could be playing. I would love for him to be Kraven the Hunter, if they have him as a villain. There are rumors going around that The Tinkerer could be involved in the new movie and that works too. I just love the idea of The Vulture being a nemesis for Spidey and Kraven coming to town to take them both out. Maybe that could form an uneasy alliance between the old bird and Spider-Man?
UPDATED: Deadline reports that Martin Starr has also joined the cast. We’ve guessed about Donald Glover or Logan Marshall-Green playing The Tinkerer, but Starr seems like the best bet for that role.
This is his second MCU film credit after making a brief appearance in THE INCREDIBLE HULK. He’s one of only a handful of people who have been allowed to do double duty in the Marvel Cinematic Universe playground. We’ll be back soon with a piece on the rest of that crew…
We’ll find out next summer!
p.s. You don’t think that headline was misleading, do you? Good! Me neither!
