Marvel.com has confirmed the full extended cast for THOR: RAGNAROK, while Variety revealed that a familiar name is back in the mix for SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING.

Click for our thoughts…

Marvel has confirmed Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, and Mark Ruffalo for THOR: RAGNAROK where they will be playing the villainous Hela, the heroic Valkyrie, and the incredible Hulk! Also joining the cast are Jeff Goldblum and Karl Urban as the Grandmaster and Skurge the Executioner! Every single one of these actors have proved their mettle and are going to fit into the golden age of the MCU like a glove. I’m specifically excited to see how several of these characters carry over from Thor into AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR. I have to imagine that Blanchett and Goldblum would show up and hopefully Thompson as well. You know what? You might as well bring Urban, too. I don’t like it when he is left alone…

Variety also revealed that Michael Keaton has re-entered talks to play the main villain, rumored to be The Vulture, in SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING. I would have to imagine that after he saw CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR and Marvel came back around with a fancier offer, he took it a bit more seriously. I think he will be great in the role and I’m excited to see an actor like Keaton return to the world of comic book movies!
