If you thought the cast of BLACK PANTHER couldn’t get any better, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively revealed that Michael B. Jordan is in talks to join the cast of BLACK PANTHER as the possible main villain. This announcement comes merely a day after Luptia Nyong’o was reported to be entering talks for the film as well.

Michael B. Jordan has proven to be an actor to watch. Jordan started off with memorable roles in hit television series like FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS and PARENTHOOD. Since then he has grown into a full-fledged movie star with standout performances in CHRONICLE, FRUITVALLE STATION, and CREED, the latter two he has made with director Ryan Coogler. They are an intriguing duo and I can’t wait to see what else they can do together.

This isn’t the first time Marvel Studios has snatched up an actor who has played The Human Torch from 20th Century Fox. They hired Chris Evans to take on the mantle of Captain America after he had played Johnny Storm in both FANTASTIC FOUR and FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER. That jump in quality from Fox superhero films to Marvel Studios superhero films makes this a smart choice for Jordan.

Marvel really knows how to cast a film! There has not been a single misstep with any of their casting choices of late. With each new addition they continue to place exciting actors in exciting roles. With each passing day my anticipation for BLACK PANTHER continues to grow.

I only hate that I have to wait until February, 16th 2018 to see the film.
