Today is a big day for Lucasfilm/Harrison Ford characters. We just told you about the fifth installment of the INDIANA JONES franchise coming out in 2019. Now we have more news for you coming from a galaxy far, far away.
The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively revealed the front-runners for the part of Young Han Solo. Let’s take a look at these guys…
First we have Alden Ehrenreich (HAIL, CAESAR!):
Then we have Jack Reynor (TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION):
And finally we have Taron Egerton (KINGSMAN):
They all seem like pretty decent options for a young Han Solo. I would probably go with Alden Ehrenreich, who was one of the only two great things in HAIL, CAESAR! He’s been working for a while and is due for a big break. Reynor seems like he’s probably better than what he’s been given to work with and I think I might be the only one who found Egerton to be incredibly bland in KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE.
The article also mentions that cast members from the new Linklater film, EVERYBODY WANTS SOME!, have met with the production and that there are a few secret contenders as well. Hopefully we have some concrete news for you in the near future.
And what do you want to bet that that movie is called SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY?
