Some pretty great Marvel news has dropped recently and rather than bore everyone with a couple of different news articles, I thought I would pool them together into one batch of news…

Michael Stuhlbarg has joined the incredible cast of DOCTOR STRANGE! The details of his role are under wraps, but this is extremely exciting. He is a terrific actor and has turned in some wonderful roles on both stage and screen. The cast so far is Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelson, and now Michael Stuhlbarg. That’s a cast you’d expect to see in a major awards contender, not in a comic book movie about magic people. This movie is going to be wonderful and strange…

-The episode listings of Netflix’s JESSICA JONES has been revealed over at Spoiler TV. My favorites are “AKA It’s Called Whiskey” and “AKA Top Shelf Perverts.” I think this show is going to be a lot of fun. November 20th can come any quicker.

-Mark Ruffalo, via USA Today, has confirmed his involvement in THOR: RAGNAROK and has described it as having “that kind of antagonistic Odd Couple-thing going on.” That sounds like a ton of fun. Adding Banner and The Hulk to the mix in a Thor movie directed by Taika Waititi just sounds like a really inspired choice. Can’t wait to hear and see more from this as we get closer to the November 2017 release.

-Not MCU related, but still Marvel adjacent is the rumor that Hugh Jackman may be showing up in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. The Journal De Montreal has some information about an impending reshoot for the movie scheduled to take place shortly in Montreal. Their assertion is that Hugh Jackman will factor into these re-shoots in some way. It remains to be seen if he has already shot material for the movie and is coming back to add more or if he is only just now getting involved with the production. His involvement isn’t a big surprise, but how his Wolverine figures into the story is definitely a point of interest.
